Another Fall morning

This is what bear collected

This is what Sophia packs every time we leave the house: spatula, bottle, and her cell phone

It's been so nice to come home to a warm fall and beautiful foliage.
(I know I still have a lot of catching up to do from when I was gone. Don't worry it will happen some day.)

We're gonna miss this place

About a week after we got home from our long trip, Sophia and I took advantage of a warm fall morning here.

Catching Up- Fairy Tale Town {Nor Cal}

Sophia went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.

Then she rode to the ball in the pumkin carriage

Then joined the old woman who lived in the shoe

Then watered Mr. Mcgregor's garden

Then held some ducklings that were just a few days old

Do I really look like her?

The other night I was reading Sophia a bed time story and she said, " That looks like you Mommy" as she pointed to Elmo's mother. During this first trimester of pregnancy I may have let myself go a little bit (not feeling up to doing hair and make-up everyday). But do I really look like her? No offense Elmo.

Other funny things my 2 year old has been saying and doing.....

****

She loves to line up all her Backyardigans in the time out corner. She says, " You're in time out. You stay here. No running in the store."

Over our 6-week trip I guess you can say I spoiled Sophia. It's hard traveling and being away from home. So when she wanted to be held and carried I picked her up until she'd get so heavy I'd have to put her down. This is what I heard her telling Tyrone the other day as she carried him around the house.

"You're too heavy Tyrone."

The other day at the mall my Dad was holding her and she wanted to get down and walk so instead of saying that she said, " I'm getting too heavy."

Those that know Sophia well know that she can throw up pretty easily. If she gets in a coughing fit or gags on something or gets a hair caught in her mouth. Well the other night was one of those nights. We were on our second pair of pj's and I told her," I couldn't believe she gotten them dirty cause I had just washed them."

The next day she is out with my Dad throwing rocks in the water and says to him, " Don't get sweater dirty, I just washed it."

Happy Halloween!

From our little Wild West Cutie.
(that's really what the costume was called)

We got all dressed up the other night for our church Halloween party. She went "trunk-or-treating" and only said trick-or-treat once. I think she was a little overwhelmed because it was dark and we were in a parking lot with cars. She kept saying that she needed to hold my hand. I'm glad she finally sees how important it is to hold my hand around cars. Anyhow at the very end as we were walking to the car she said, "Mommy, I like this!" as she peered into her bag to check out all of the loot.

Then she pulled out her camera.
My favorite photo of the day.
I never realized that is how I must look....squatting down all the time to be on her level, half my face covered by the camera.

I'm Back!

Well from my 6 weeks trip that is. We'll see if I have the time and energy to catch up with my blog now that I'm so behind. This is what I've been so busy with. You've got to check it out!
