First time at the beach

We wasted no time getting to the beach upon arriving to CA. The first weekend here we joined our cousins for some sandy fun. Scarlett joined in also, making her first trip to the beach at just under 3 weeks old. Of course she stayed in her car seat the whole time except to feed once. I forgot to get a photo of her there.

Good-bye DC Pool

The pool opened Memorial Day weekend as it always does. I knew that having just had a baby earlier in the week I would not be able to take Sophia and seeing that Daddy would be packing up for our big move to Texas he would probably not get free time to take her either. Still I decided to get pool passes just on the off chance someone could take Sophia.
For Sophia a miracle happened! My Dad had business in DC the week before we moved. That meant pool time for Sophie.
As you can see she has a great love for the pool and her Grandpa!

Melts my heart

These photos of my girls together are so precious. Scarlett is less than a week old in these photos and looks like she could be a doll. Today she is 5 weeks and has grown so much already.

Can't wait to join you in TX!

Scarlett meets...

Within the the first week and half of Scarlett's birthday she had met all 4 of her Grandparents. Pretty amazing considering they all live in CA and we were living in DC.

Moving to TX via CA

We're gone from DC as of 2 weeks ago. The girls and I are in CA with my parents and Rob is in TX ready to start residency. All of our stuff is in storage until the house is done (end of July).
These photos are from our house hunting trip last March.

and our new neighbors

Yes, we know who our neighbors are already. They are our good friends Jared and Linzie.
We couldn't be happier to have such awesome friends living next door. This will make our transition to Texas a lot smoother.

In Louisiana at a rest stop on our road trip.
(Yes, we drove from DC to San Antonio and back again- about 1,600 miles each way)
