What strangers are saying....

Yesterday-

Joanne's Fabric Store-

Cashier: (in broken English about Sophia's long bangs) "It's not good to have hair in the eyes."

Me: "My daughter pulls out clips and rubber bands. She won't keep anything in her hair."

Cashier: " You need to cut the bangs."

I didn't even try to explain we were trying to avoid the whole mullet look.



Park-

Little girl: (about Sophia's sunglasses) " She looks sassy!"

After school program teacher of girl: " I know. She's a diva in the making."

Little girl (about Sophia) " Is she from Jamaica?"

Me: "No."
