9 Months old and....

  • Still loving my baths
  • My new favorite foods are rotisserie chicken, roasted potatoes and avocados

  • I still do not crawl ( but I can transfer from sitting up to laying on my belly all on my own)

  • I love to play a game, namely dropping an object, waiting for Mother to pick it up and then nonchalantly dropping it again. This could go on and on, but Mom usually figures me out.

  • I love to be chased by the tickle monster ( usually Mom or Dad, aunties, or grandparents), this always results in rounds of giggles.

  • I finally figured out how sip from my sippy cup, but only when Mom holds it for me.

  • My new nick name is Cleo (short for Cleopatra) because I still love to be fed. I like to pick food up and play with it, it just never reaches my mouth. I still love to cuddle and be fed my bottles. My Mom says she's going to start fanning me like a queen.

  • I LOVE other children and babies!!! When I see them at church and stores I get very excited and want to go see and talk to them.

  • I've got one tooth and my Mom thinks I'm working on my second.
  • I also enjoy walking around only holding on to my Mom's fingers. ( I might just skip the whole crawling thing. It's highly overrated!)

When Grandpa gets you dressed for church.......

Your bloomers turn into a french beret!

Thank you Rob and Sophia

My Flowers were beautiful! I love you both! Mom

It's Over!

Rob's 2nd year of Med. School ended last week. On Thursday he took his last final and Friday he hosted a BBQ for some friends and other classmates. I was very sad to miss it, because I heard it was a blast. Of course what would a BBQ be like without Rob's famous ribs. He did the ribs and everyone else brought something. I was quite impressed he hosted a gathering all on his own! Who knew that he could be the "hostess with the mostess" :) Congrats on finishing the hardest year of Med school. Sophia and I are so proud of you! Now it's time to study for USMLE Step 1. He's got 6 weeks to study and then it's time to take the exam. In July he'll start 3rd year and begin all his hospital rotations. This next year should be a lot of fun for him! We love you Daddy and miss you.

Sophia's first swim

Two weekends ago ( I know I'm a little behind in blogging) we spent the nice, warm, sunny afternoon at my sister's in-law's pool. It was heated and Sophia thought it was great. Like a big warm bathtub. She sat in the floaty and played for a while, but her big event of the day was going down the water slide with her Grandpa ( see video below). We all had a wonderful time. Thanks Steph. When are we swimming again?
