Every February the Live Stock show and Rodeo comes to town. We were excited to make attending a new family tradition. While we neglected to attend the actual rodeo portion this year, we did make it to the live stock show and walked around the grounds. As I mentioned before it was fun to get a glimpse into the life of these people. There were plenty of large belt buckles, cowboy hats and boots. There were the girls dressed like real cowgirls (you know, they looked like they were ready to work on the farm) and then there were the Sheryl Crow cowgirls(Rob made that one up as we were people watching that day) They had their hair done just right and their boots had fancy designs and colors. They did not look like they were ready to milk a cow, still they had a country/cowgirlesque look to them.
We enjoyed seeing all the animals up close and even enjoyed part of a calf show.
The only thing we had to pay for was parking. They had a groupon for half off tickets and I snatched that up with some groupon bucks I had sitting in my account. Score!
Looking forward to next February already.
