Fireworks Eclipse

On the 4th of July we got together with a group of friends (mostly med student fams) for a picnic and fireworks. We decided we would not try to fight the crowds or traffic and avoided the Mall. We knew we could see the same fireworks from VA ( so we thought). Last year we watched the National fireworks from Iwo Jima and this year we decided to watch them from the Air Force Memorial. We showed up a few hours early and it was raining off and on. To make a long story short the fireworks finally started and we saw the first two. Then the smoke from the first couple just stayed in the air right where the rest were appearing. We could see very little. Sometimes just the outer edge like an eclipse. Although the fireworks were a complete bummer we still enjoyed our time with good friends.
