Last week I took Sophia to get her ears pierced. Our friends Alyssa and Joshy came along also for moral support. Ok more for my support. Sophia didn't know what her mother was getting her into. Her pediatrician's office only pierce girls 6 yo and up so we went to Piercing Pagoda. I was a little nervous taking her to the mall, but this little kiosk ended up being great. The lady there was so nice and patient with Sophia. You could tell she had done this many times. I also felt like everything was very clean and sterile. She got 14k white gold. They just look adorable on her. Now she will never ever be mistaken for a boy again.

She's Getting sooooooooo Big!!!
Sophia is already 6 months old. She had her Drs visit last week and she was in the 50th percentile for weight and 90th for her length. Maybe she'll be tall and thin like her Grampa Clark.
The most exciting new thing she is doing is sitting up by herself. She still takes tumbles sometimes, but can sit for an extended amout of time by herself. She also grabs for and leans forward for everything. So much for carrying her around as I do things. That really doesn't work anymore.
We love seeing her personalitly continue to develop and it's fun to watch her explore the world around her. Last night she tried her first vegatable.....Sweet Potatoes. I don't think they were a big hit, but we'll keep trying. We love our little princess.
If you want a little flashback of Sophia take a look here at Andrea Marie Photography. My friend and proffesional photographer posted some photos of Sophia's session on her blog. She's only about 8 weeks old here.

Sophia Goes to Medical School
On Tuesday morning Sophia got to take a ride on the metro with her Mommy and Daddy. We stopped at Foggy Bottom and true to it's name it was Foggy that morning. She then went to class with Daddy and met some of his classmates/friends. All the girls just loved her. They requested that she come to school every couple of weeks so that they could hold and play with her. They thought it was a wonderful way to start their day of class.
