They were a Hit!!!

Tonight when I fed Sophia her Sweet Potatoes she actually liked them. It was amazing! It was a totally different feeding experience than we have ever had. Yah!

She's Getting sooooooooo Big!!!

Sophia is already 6 months old. She had her Drs visit last week and she was in the 50th percentile for weight and 90th for her length. Maybe she'll be tall and thin like her Grampa Clark.
The most exciting new thing she is doing is sitting up by herself. She still takes tumbles sometimes, but can sit for an extended amout of time by herself. She also grabs for and leans forward for everything. So much for carrying her around as I do things. That really doesn't work anymore.
We love seeing her personalitly continue to develop and it's fun to watch her explore the world around her. Last night she tried her first vegatable.....Sweet Potatoes. I don't think they were a big hit, but we'll keep trying. We love our little princess.
If you want a little flashback of Sophia take a look here at Andrea Marie Photography. My friend and proffesional photographer posted some photos of Sophia's session on her blog. She's only about 8 weeks old here.

Sophia Goes to Medical School

Riding on the Metro with Mommy

On Tuesday morning Sophia got to take a ride on the metro with her Mommy and Daddy. We stopped at Foggy Bottom and true to it's name it was Foggy that morning. She then went to class with Daddy and met some of his classmates/friends. All the girls just loved her. They requested that she come to school every couple of weeks so that they could hold and play with her. They thought it was a wonderful way to start their day of class.

ROCK BAND!!!

Yes, we are not addicted to Rock Band. Rob brought it home from the store last night and we rocked, jammed and sang our hearts out. We had a blast. Our friends Cory and Alyssa came over to join our band. Cory was on drums, Rob on guitar, and Alyssa and I took turns on lead vocals. While Sophia and Joshy were the groupies. This has got to be my most favorite video game in a long time.

Isn't it Ironic?

So today Sophia's "Kids For Mitt Bib" arrived in the mail. Unfortunately today is the day Mitt decided to pull out of the race :( This was a very sad day in the Holt house! We'll save the bib. Maybe one of our future children can wear it in a future presidential race. We know we havn't seen the last of Mitt.

Little Miss Goldie

Sophia dressed up on Sunday in her sassy gold top and denim skirt. I had to do a photo shoot with her after church. It's getting harder to take pictures now because she reaches and wants to grab at the camera as you can see. We think she's adorable.

Mixed Emotions

Over the past few days I have been reflecting on
motherhood. I LOVE being Sophia's mother!!! She makes me sooooooo Happy. I feel so blessed that she was sent to our family. She is growing so quickly. A part of me wishes she would stay a little 6 month old forever. I wish I could bottle up her sent, her chubby little thighs, baby soft skin, and that cute little giggle and smile or maybe I could just freeze time. Another part of me excites with her growth and development. It's so fun to watch. I can't wait to see her crawling, walking and talking. I treasure each moment with her, even those early morning feedings that she sometime still wakes for, because it won't last forever.

The last couple of days we have had great weather, well great for February. The highs have been in the 50's. That's warm enough in my book to bundle up and get out for some fresh air. Sophia and I have enjoyed taking walks and also going to the park. She had fun trying the baby swing at the park for the first time on Saturday.

Too much fun!!!
