As most of you have probably heard we've been in a severe drought for months now. It just won't rain here. We have been on water restrictions also making it hard to keep our lawn green. So to much dismay any form of fireworks were banned in our county and several other counties in Texas. We couldn't go to any shows and couldn't buy our own either. We had a good day though. We spent the day with friends at a breakfast and then BBQ later that night. Good food all day. Rob was off from work, although he did have to run into the hospital for a couple of hours that morning to work on some pre-ops. That night when it got dark our neighbor Linzie brought out tons of glow sticks and some of the little tiny white bags that you throw and they make a popping sound when they hit the ground (can't think of the name). The kids had lots of fun even though it was not a traditional year of fireworks.
